What Do All Landlords Need To Do?

Quite simply, all landlords must have the electrics in their properties inspected and tested by a qualified electrician to ensure the national standards for electrical safety are met. These are set out in the 18th edition of the ‘Wiring Regulations’, which are published as British Standard 7671

EICR Inspection Reports

What is an EICR or Electrical Inspection & Condition Report?
An EICR is an inspection and associated testing to check whether an electrical installation is in a satisfactory condition for continued service. On completion of the necessary inspection and testing, an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will be issued, detailing any observed damage, deterioration, defects, dangerous conditions and any non-compliance with current safety standards, which might give rise to danger.
